Find Your True Voice

Your Brand Voice Is Multifaceted - Like a Diamond

A diamond isn't one flat surface. It's cut with dozens of small facets, each catching light differently depending on the angle. Turn it an inch and the sparkle changes. The stone hasn't changed. The light hitting it has.

Your brand voice works the same way.

Most agents describe their voice with three safe adjectives: warm, professional, and conversational. Those words aren't wrong, they're just flat. Your real voice has more facets: a feeling you want people to walk away with, the authority you hold in a conversation, words that are unmistakably yours, a rhythm to how you write, and a tension you're quietly managing so you match the moment.

Which facet catches the light changes by channel, and that's not inconsistency. It's range.

The Same Brand Voice, Different Light

Instagram Carousel. Your playful, curious facet. Bold, brief, one idea per slide.

LinkedIn Post. Your credibility facet. More room to unfold, built for teaching through analogy.

Listing Presentation. Your closing-on-the-reader facet. This is heard, not read, so cadence and presence carry it.

Email to Your Sphere. Your most unfiltered facet. Relaxed, relational, solves a problem, ends with a real check-in.

If your LinkedIn voice and your listing presentation voice don't sound identical, that's the diamond doing what diamonds do. The goal was never sameness everywhere. It's staying recognizable while the right facet leads in the right moment.

Find Your Brand Voice

Rather than keeping a generic voice, let's uncover your true voice. Copy this prompt into Claude, ChatGPT, or whatever AI you use, and answer one question at a time.
Pro Tip: Use voice mode during the interview to capture the nuances of your communication.

I want you to interview me, one question at a time, to uncover my true
brand voice as a Real Estate Agent. Don't move to the next question
until I've answered the one before it.
Ask me about:
1. The feeling I want people to have after reading something I wrote.
Not what I want them to think, what I want them to feel.
2. Who I am as a person in the room. If my voice were a person
standing in front of a client, how would they carry themselves?
3. The words I naturally reach for, the ones that feel like me, and
the words I would never use in my marketing.
4. My natural rhythm. Do I write in short, punchy sentences, or do I
let things unfold a little? Does it depend on the moment?
5. A piece of writing, mine or someone else's, that captures the tone
I'm reaching for, and what specifically about it works.
6. The tension I'm balancing when I write, where I catch myself
actively correcting course so I don't sound like someone I'm not.
After I've answered, first summarize my voice as a clear profile: the
feeling I create, the person behind it, my fingerprint words and the
words I avoid, my structural instincts, and the tension I'm managing.
Second, look back at how I actually answered your questions, not just
what I said, but how I said it. Tell me what patterns you noticed in
my own language: words I repeat, how I tend to open and close a
thought, habits I have that I might not even notice myself doing. My
marketing voice should sound like me at my best, including the
patterns that are unique to how I naturally talk.

How to use it: Don't rush your answers. The way you phrase them is part of what makes up your brand voice. Once you have your profile, add it as a Skill in Claude or save it to memory in whatever AI you use, so it applies automatically every time you write.
